2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's At-Large Teams
2020-21 Pacific West Conference Scholar-Athletes of the Year
IRVINE, Calif./GREENWOOD, Ind. – Following a season in which he was named the
2021 Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Year and most recently selected to the
2021 GCAA NCAA DII PING All-West Region Team, Academy of Art men's golf junior
Julius Kreutzer has taken home two additional postseason awards, with each honoring Kreutzer for both his success on the course and in the classroom. As announced on Thursday, Kreutzer earned a spot on the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team and was named the PacWest Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's golf.

First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-America ballot to be announced in August. PacWest Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors were selected in a vote by the PacWest sports information directors, and each of the winners are now eligible for the PacWest Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards which will be announced on July 14.
While working toward a 3.71 cumulative GPA in the School of Music Production & Sound Design for Visual Media, Kreutzer's season was one of numerous accomplishments, as the three-time PacWest Golfer of the Week earned spots on both the
All-PacWest First Team and the
PacWest All-Tournament Team, and won his first two tournaments of the season (
Bay Area Invitational and
NNU Nighthawks Invitational) en route to
winning a total of three by the end of the year. His
runner-up placement at the PacWest Championship would move Kreutzer into second place for career top-10 finishes in ART U program history with a total of eight, trailing only his current teammate
Matthew Watkins (10).
After placing first or second in five of his six tournaments played in, Kreutzer would compete at the
NCAA DII West/South Central Regional where he tied for sixth. By the end of his competition season, Kreutzer had an average round score of 71.88 over 17 rounds (seven tournaments), the single lowest such mark in ART U program history.
It is the second time that Kreutzer has been named the PacWest Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's golf, having also received the award at the end of
last year. However, it is the first time in Kreutzer's career being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team, an honor that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in their academics and is voted on by members of CoSIDA.
