2021 NCAA DII PING All-Region Teams
NORMAN, Okla. – After a season in which he was named the
Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Year and helped the program earn its first
PacWest Championship, Academy of Art men's golf junior
Julius Kreutzer has captured yet another honor after it was recently announced that he was selected to the 2021 NCAA DII PING All-West Region Team. The selections are announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

"Julius is an amazing person," said Head Coach
Andy Moren. "I have only been around a few people in my life who hold such a focus each and every day like he does. When he arrived, his impact on our program was felt from day one, and I believe he has inspired much of our team's success. It has been a pleasure coaching him the last couple of years."
Kreutzer's season was one of numerous accomplishments, as the PacWest's Golfer of the Year earned spots on both the All-PacWest West First Team and the
PacWest All-Tournament Team, and won his first two tournaments of the season (
Bay Area Invitational and
NNU Nighthawks Invitational) en route to
winning a total of three by the end of the year. His
runner-up placement at the PacWest Championship would move Kreutzer into second place for career top-10 finishes in ART U program history with a total of eight, trailing only his current teammate
Matthew Watkins (10). After placing first or second in five of his six tournaments played in, Kreutzer would compete at the
NCAA DII West/South Central Regional where he tied for sixth. By the end of competition, Kreutzer had an average round score of 71.88 over 17 rounds (seven tournaments), the single lowest such mark in ART U program history, and was named the PacWest Golfer of the Week three times (
Mar. 11,
Mar. 17,
Apr. 15).
This is the first time receiving this award in the career of Kreutzer, and it is the first time an Urban Knight has received the honor since Oskar Frick did so upon the conclusion of the
2015-16 season.
